Stearns County Warrant Records Stearns County Warrant Records

This page explains what this site can and cannot help with and where to send a question about an official Stearns County warrant. Almost every request belongs with the District Court or the Sheriff's Office rather than with us, and the routing below points each kind of question at the office that actually holds the answer.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. This is a private reference site. We cannot confirm that a warrant exists, recall or clear one, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. For any of those, reach the District Court or the Sheriff's Office directly.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Here is where the common questions about a Stearns County warrant belong:

  • Whether a warrant exists: call the Sheriff's warrant confirmation line, which checks a published order by name and date of birth
  • A missed court date: call Stearns County District Court Administration, which handles criminal and traffic intake, dates, fines, and case status
  • Resolving or clearing a warrant: talk to a licensed Minnesota attorney and the issuing court about a recall, a scheduled appearance, or bond
  • An arrest warrant tied to a charge: the District Court sets the charge and the release terms, and the Sheriff's Office serves the order
  • A city citation or ordinance case: start with the city police department, then take case status to the court

The court office for criminal and traffic matters is Stearns County District Court Administration at 815 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, MN 56303. The main line is 320-656-3620, and the office is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Civil, family, juvenile, and jury functions sit in the courthouse at 725 Courthouse Square.

The law enforcement side is the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 807 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, MN 56303. Warrant confirmation is 320-259-3955, records is 320-259-3700, the general email is sheriff@co.stearns.mn.us, and the after-hours non-emergency line is 320-251-4240. That last number is for reporting a location, not for clearing a warrant.

One caution applies to every call on this page. The Sheriff has warned about callers who impersonate deputies and demand money or documents over unpaid fines or a made-up legal problem. Official offices do not collect money that way, and a caller who refuses normal verification is not a deputy.
